What Are Some Ideas Of Business I Can Use Integrated With Basketball?
February 8, 2010 | In: business
I’m a 30 year old man. Too old to go to the Pros. LOL However, my love for basketball is so great. I’m wondering how I can own my own business and integrate basketball within the business as the main source. Examples: Basketball supply store, Basketball camp, etc. I need some more ideas please. Help me out.

Ive had this same thought myself. You should consider starting your own basketball league. Adult of Kids. Find 2 or 3 school gyms in your area or near your area and advertise in the newspaper. You would be surprised how many responses you get. Hire a good set of refs for your games (at least 2 for each game) and charge the teams ref fees.

How about giving lessons to kids? You could help them improve their game and charge an hourly fee. Advertise at local schools or colleges. If you find there is a good amount of students interested, hold a session with a large group for less money per student.
You’d just need to find a place to hold your sessions. Schools may let you do it on campus.
Another idea- you may want to try to get to know local coaches. See if you can work together or if they can help you find students.
